Well, it became a sensation as five star hotels in Bangalore have decided to screen Kabali on release day in their hotel's special screening facilities. Including food and beverages, they have started collecting around â¹ 2000 as ticket price.
But the ultimate punch has come from theatre owners who are stunned with this happening. Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce and Karnataka State Film Exhibitors Association have now sent a notice to distributors that if "Kabali" is screened at five-star hotels, then they will not screen film in theatres.
What could distributors do than cancelling those shows/screenings in Five Star hotels after they receive such a letter? So, there is no Kabali in five star hotels.
