Chandrababu Naidu's Rajahmundry problems seem to be never ending. Now that Butchaiah Chowdary's dispute has been brought to a logical end, one thought that there would be no problem anymore. But, another problem has cropped with Rajahmundry roots. Another TDP stalwart and former MP from Rajahmundry has now announced that he would call it quits.
Famed film actor, TDP biggie and Rajahmundry's former MP Maganti Muralimohan has reportedly decided to quit politics. Though Murali Mohan is believed to be saying that he is quitting due to age-related reasons, political observers say that he is disenchanted with politics. If reports are to be believed, he has already sold his house in Rajahmundry and has moved back to Hyderabad. Sources say that Muralimohan is finding the going tough and feels that the TDP has little future.
Sources also say that Muralimohan being a shrewd businessman feels that there was no use antagonizing the YS Jagan Mohan Reddy government. He has invested huge amounts in Amaravati lands and sees no light at the end of the tunnel in the Amaravati issue. If he continues in the TDP, he may have to criticize YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and further antagonize him. He reportedly feels that there is no use fighting a lost cause and has reportedly decided to quit active politics.
Muralimohan spent huge amounts for his daughter-in-law who unsuccessfully contested in the 2019 elections from Rajamundry. Ever since 2019 election debacle, Muralimohan has been keeping a low profile and has not attended even key party programmes. Sources say that he might announce his decision to quit politics sooner than later.
