Actress Sameera Reddy is a happily married woman now with two kids. She recently gave birth to second child Nyra and is spending time taking care of her doting daughter. She recently posted a video of Nyra eating and trying the grab the spoon and chew it. It is quite endearing to watch.
Along with the adorable video, she even wrote a lengthy description of the diet she gives to Nyra every day to keep her healthy. For mommies interested in her diet ! Nyra is almost 7 months . I started feeding her about 6 weeks ago! I started with only pures of avocado ( raw soft mashed without the pit) I gave her that to begin with and it worked really well . I then introduced single semi liquid pures that need to be steamed and pured - pear / apple / pumpkin / sweet potato / carrots . You can directly pure papaya / avocado / bananas. These are all@great first foods ! I also introduced ambemohar rice after a few days of weaning that is super nice for babies . I cook till very soft and then used a big eye sieve to give it a nice texture . ( @mumbaimummy this was a great tip thank you ) Moong Dal is very light so works well to start with rather that other dals. I make it with the rice sometimes or just on it's own. ( I add pinch of hing and jeera powder ) FYI I don't use any fancy steamers . Just a simple pressure cooker with a steel bowl inside . I do not add salt or sugar . Use your instinct when it comes to feeding . What the baby will love today they will fuss about tomorrow. But just don't stress about it . It's imp to continue the Breast Milk and /or Formula . My BIG TIP . I play the same song At every meal . It makes her comfortable and she knows it time to eat !'
