Officer Buyer In Deep Trouble!

Update: 2018-06-04 06:20 GMT
Everybody knows the fate of 'Officer' by now.  There is no need to dwell on the reasons why did it happen? Why the result has not shocked the audience?  Whenever films fail, the people who suffer the most are the buyers.  The same thing happened with the 'Officer' as well.

A small-time buyer named Subramanyam from Rajahmundry took a risk by acquiring the rights of 'Officer' for Rs.3.5 crores for Andhra area which includes 8 districts. Nagarjuna's last film 'Rajugari Gadhi 2' was bought for Rs.7 crore for the same area so the buyer thought that there is no great risk in investing half the amount for 'Officer'.  But what he missed is the negativity surrounding Varma and the disappointing track record of his recent films.  The first day collections of the film didn't even cross Rs. 50 lakh share in the Telugu states giving an indication of the range of the film.

Subramanyam is saying that he bought the rights from RGV's co-producer Sudheer Chandra and he didn't know RGV personally.  He got a shock with the collections and when he contacted the Varma camp, he got a response that he can approach Film Chamber.   The buyer landed in a big financial mess now and he is saying that committing suicide is the only option left for him.
