Director Ram Gopal Varma has been working hard for his upcoming movie Officer starring Nagarjuna. The movie was supposed to get released on May 25th. To increase the promotions they postponed it till June 1st. To create the hype about the film, Varma is stating that he made officer movie based on the story of a real Police Officer.
"The Story of Nagarjuna's OFFICER is based upon a true life IPS officer K M Prasanna from Karnataka , who was appointed as the chief of a SIT (Special Investigation Team) to investigate a highly reputed cop in Mumbai. Itâs the details that IPS officer K M Prasanna personally told me in 2010 that finally became the story of #Officer. Nagarjuna is playing Mr.Prasanna who at present is the Additional Commissioner of Police ,Crime Branch , Mumbai" tweeted RGV and added that both Nag and KM share a similar demeanor and strength of mind.
However, the fans are still confused whether to believe Varma or not. If it is really true then how come Varma hidden this fact till now. It is a known fact that RGV uses every possible thing to promote his film and some are commenting that he is using the same strategy here and is trying to increase the business of the film.
