The Telugu film industry is coming with fresh concepts nowadays. New age filmmakers are showcasing their potential with interesting subjects and the surge in usage of OTT platforms has definitely helped them. A lot of seasoned actors are coming forward to act in OTT-based films and web series. One such film which gained everyone's attention is 'Senapathi' featuring Naresh Agastya and Rajendra Prasad in lead roles. Directed by Pawan Sadineni, this film is impressing the movie buffs big time.

The movie is about cop Krishna who loses his licensed revolver and does everything to get it back while Murthy (Rajendra Prasad) plans a bank robbery with his two other guys. The premise itself brings a lot of curiosity and such thrillers should be dealt quite carefully.

Pavan Sadineni deserves a lot of credit for sticking to the script and narrating it in a racy manner. The film is quite engaging and doesn't let the audience deviate their minds. The music and camera work are big plus points in this film. Though the tempo goes down in the second half and the backstory of Rajendra Prasad is not emotional enough, the movie certainly impresses you.

Coming to actors, Rajendra Prasad is seen in a different role from his regular characters. He did a great job in terms of emotion through his body language. Naresh Agastya too gave his best and writer-director Harshavardhan managed to bring some laughs despite the serious setup. Rakendu Mouli did a good job and his dialogues are crisp too. All the other actors did a fine job and helped the film.

Sushmitha Konidela's taste can be seen in the kind of films she is producing. On the whole, 'Senapathi' is a perfect watch for people who love thrillers with gripping narration. It is available for everyone in 'Aha'.
