Padmaavat Surpasses Dangal, BB2 In Australia

Sanjay Leela Bhansali's period drama 'Padmaavat' had a flying start in the international markets like Australia, New Zealand and UK.   'Padmaavat' registered $ 367K in Australia by surpassing Dangal( $212k) and Baahubali 2($212k - only Hindi version)  in Australia.  

In fact, this is the highest numbers for a Hindi film in Australia.  The movie registered very good collections in New Zealand ($64k), UK(97K pounds) through premiers.  While revealing the information popular trade analyst Taran Adarsh wrote  "#Padmaavat takes a FANTABULOUS START in key international markets on Thu... AUSTRALIA: A$ 367,984 [₹ 1.88 cr] NEW ZEALAND: NZ$ 64,265 [₹ 29.99 lakhs] UK [preview screenings]: £ 97,604 [₹ 88.08 lakhs] @Rentrak".   On the other hand, he also revealed that the film is able to collect Rs. 5 crore from the preview screenings on Wednesday despite its limited release in India.  

Considering the hungama surrounding the film and positive word of mouth from the audience trade experts are predicting big numbers in the on the Republic day weekend.
