Claiming that she comes from a small town where several taboos exist, Parineeti Chopra said there is the need to spread awareness to completely eradicate such things. The actress made these comments referring to the taboos related with periods and revealed even her grandmother advised her not to touch pickles in such condition. She mentioned about other taboos such as not going to temples, kitchen and washing of hair.
The 'Ishaqzaade' Actress feels such taboos were unacceptable in 2016 while living in an educated country like India. She says such stupid practices need to be stopped and its high time females talks about periods.
