The shocking and unexpected suicide of Bollywood actor Sushanth Singh Rajput has been a big wake up call to everyone. His death threw light on how depression is dangerous and what happens when people don't have someone who can stand by their side during tough times.
We have seen top stars like Deepika Padukone who came out in public to share her life experience about depression and how her family helped in coming out of that dark phase. After Sushanth's unfortunate incident, Payal Ghosh who acted as heroine in 'Prayanam' and did a supporting role in 'Ooseravalli' came out on social media and revealed that she has been going through depression since 2015.
She wrote, "I'm suffering from depression since 2015.I'm on& off on medicines, tho my problem is d Fear of Death, I get panic attacks, whr I feel, I'm gonna die, I keep rushing 2 Kokilaben, when I get this attacks, luckily I hv my family, friends who take all my nonsense but don't judge me."
As soon as Payal posted this, she was met with thousands of comments filled with moral support. Thankfully, she has her parents who are supporting her in this difficult situation.
Wish Sushanth too opened up or someone reached to him before it was too late. All we can do is to mourn over his tragic death and make sure to stay in touch with people we know every now and then as no one knows what battles people are fighting within.
