Renowned playback singer Ramakrishna passed away on Wednesday night at his residence in Venkatagiri Colony, Jubilee Hills. He has been suffering from health issues since some time.
Ramakrishna was born in Vizianagaram on August 20th, 1947. He begun his career with Lalitha Geethas in Akashvani's Yuvavani. In the very beginning of his career, He got the opportunity to work for classic films such as Muthyala Muggu, Andala Ramudu, Baktha Kannappa, Dana Veera Sura Karna, Tatha Manavadu and Alluri Seetharamaraju. He offered his services for around 200 films and crooned for 5,000 devotional songs.
Ramakrishna is survived by son Sai Kiran (Nuvve Kavali fame) and Daughter Lekha.
Telangana Cinematography Minister Talasani expressed his condolences to the family of the singer. Rest in peace Ramakrishna!
