Today, April 23 marks the ten years of Prabhas's Family Entertainer 'Darling'. The Karunakaran directorial is the film that changed the route of Young Rebel Star from an action star and made him a house-hold name to youth and families. It is also the film that prefixed his real life sweet name 'Darling' for Prabhas and thus popularized his name as Darling Prabhas.
After the huge success of Prabhas-SS Rajamouli first collaboration 'Chatrapathi', his career went doldrums with back to back flops for almost five years. He had some average grosser in this time. 'Darling' is one film that vanished all his flops and gave Prabhas a big relief in Summer 2010. The film brought Prabhas a clean family image with the content and comedy still enjoyable by all.
'Darling' directed by Karunakaran gave the audience a huge boost of comic relief then and is still entertaining on TV. The film had superb music by GV Prakash. Prabhas paired up with Kajal Aggarwal for the first time and their pair was so cute that they went on to do 'Mr. Perfect' later.
