In our Telugu Cinema or even Indian Cinema, Producers are paying crores in remuneration to actors and actresses. We hear the remuneration of popular actors in hits is close to 10 to 20 crores and also, the remuneration of directors is also ranging from 6 crores to 15 crores. Actresses are demanding something around 1 crore to 2.5 crores. This remuneration has become a big subject of discussion these days.
This year even though there are blockbusters like Fidaa, Baahubali-2. Arjun Reddy, that made two rupees for rupee spent, there are many that just made break even and less percent of profits. Also, the disasters of the big heroes and upcoming heroes have ended up burning the pockets of the producers and distributors.
Few films have ended up disasters or flops due to releasing on the same day and cumulatively, 150 crores loss has been incurred by the distributors and producers. Well, actors and directors, who promise a huge blockbuster and demand the high amounts are not even caring about the producer after the release.
Post release, if the movie becomes a success, directors are using this as a positive mark on the resume, otherwise, they are not trying to help out the producer by at least promising another film or returning some part of the remuneration. Producers are coming out and lashing out on the directors and also actors. As they are ending up losing their properties and when you look at the distributors they are losing even more than the producers.
Few distributors are ending up asking the directors and actors to help them out. The film Industry is a place where we can grow collectively. Even the other crew members who doesn't make so much are also finding it hard to get another opportunity. On the whole, the trend has become worrying for many in the Industry and they are trying to find a solution for this. If there are no producers, then who will make movies?!!
