Finally, Production Began For Avatar Sequels

James Cameron achieved sensational success with 'Avatar' movie in 2009.  The movie was made with a huge budget of Rs.1600 crores, and it became the highest grossing film of all time then.  Audience were stunned with the visual effects of 'Avatar'. The movie also received critical acclaim and went on to win multiple Academy Awards.  James Cameron has been planning four sequels for 'Avatar' and he has completed the pre-production recently and started shooting for the sequels.

It is not the first time a filmmaker is working on several sequels simultaneously.  'The Lord of the Rings' instalments and 'The Hobbit' series were shot simultaneously by the director Peter Jackson.

The four sequels of 'Avatar' will be made simultaneously with a whopping $ 1 billion budget(It is equivalent to Rs.6500 crores).   James has started the shooting officially in the Manhattan Beach recently.   The first Avatar sequel 'Avatar 2' will release on December 18, 2020.   Avatar 3 will release in 2022. Avatar 4 will release in 2024,  Avatar 5 will hit the screens in 2025.

Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldana, Stephen Lang, Sigourney Weaver are playing the key roles in the sequels, who featured in the original 'Avatar'.
