'PS - 1' Failing To Grab The Interest Of Telugu Audience!

Update: 2022-09-14 10:44 GMT
It is without a doubt that 'Ponniyin Selvan' is one of the biggest films made in India. The first part is hitting the screens on 30th September and there is a huge hype around this film in Tamil Nadu since it is inspired by legendary writer Kalki's book with the same name. With a stellar cast and stunning list of top-class technicians, Mani Ratnam made this film on a grand scale.

But the movie is unable to create any buzz in the Telugu states despite having well-known stars like Vikram, Karthi, Aishwarya Rai, Trisha, Jayam Ravi and others. There was a time when Mani Ratnam's films opened to packed houses in Telugu states. But his recent intense movies have not struck a chord with the present generation youth.

Following the trend, he is now coming with a period drama made on a grand budget. The trailer was unveiled and the songs are also getting released one after the other. But the movie is unable to generate the desired buzz. A lot of people are blaming the film's unit for not promoting the film aggressively.

At the time when stars like NTR, Ram Charan and others are going across the country for promotions just like Ranbir and Alia did recently, the team of 'PS - 1' is yet to shift gears when it comes to promotions. Dil Raju is releasing this film in Telugu and he needs to come up with an innovative strategy to increase the buzz on the magnum opus. Let us wait and see what happens.

Produced under Lyca Productions and Madras Talkies banners, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Sobhita Dhulipala, Prabhu, R Sarathkumar, Vikram Prabhu, Jayaram, Prakash Raj, Rahman and R Parthiban ar eplaying key roles. AR Rahman is the music composer. Ravi Varman is the director of photography while Sreekar Prasad is the editor. The action was composed by Kecha Khamphakdee, Sham Kaushal & Dhilip Subbarayan.
