The drugs case has already created a huge sensation in Tollywood a couple of years back. Some big names were interrogated by the government officials at that time and looks like the storm hasn't completely died down. The Enforcement Directorate have summoned 12 celebrities for questioning and as a part of it, star director Puri Jagannadh appeared before ED on Tuesday morning.

Though Ravi Teja, Rakul, Rana, Tarun, Nandu, Tarun, Navdeep and others were summoned, Puri was the first person to appear before the ED office and they questioned him for over two hours as per sources. Apparently, he was asked about the finances regarding the drugs case. Puri went on his charted time and answered them on his bank and online transactions which were the main focus as per reports. The ED are reportedly looking at an angle of money laundering too. News is that the ED asked Puri to handover the bank statements for last Six financial years. The director gave 3 bank accounts and its statements as per reports and we need to see how things unfold in the coming days.

Puri Jagannadh suffered with lack of hits from the past couple of years but scored a blockbuster like 'Ismart Shankar' in 2019 and he is currently producing and directing 'Liger' with Vijay Devarakonda. He is bankrolling it in association with Karan Johar's 'Dharma Productions’.
