Rabhasa 1st Week Report

Update: 2014-09-05 06:51 GMT
Jr NTR starrer 'Rabhasa' collected an AP & Nizam share of Rs 17.80 crore and Worldwide share of Rs 23.80 crore. It looks like the film is gonna end up as the biggest flop of Young Tiger in the recent past.

Apparently, 'Rabhasa' was made with a budget of Rs 36.5 to Rs 38 crore. The theatrical rights alone fetched Producer anywhere around Rs 45 crore. So, Still Rs 21 crore has to be recovered to find a break-even which is highly unlikely as per the current trends.

Despite a Rs 20 crore weekend and 'Power' release postponement to September 12th, 'Rabhasa' failed to capitalize on the festive season and solo release/no competition factors.

Trade Pundits say, 'Rabhasa' is likely to fell short of a Rs 30 crore share in the long run. This means distributors and exhibitors will be incurring huge losses. Hence, An impact on Bellamkonda's next releases (finance woes) is inevitable.
