'Race Gurram' became the Biggest 3 Day Opener of the Year by collecting a whooping Worldwide share of Rs 22 crore (approx). Until now, It was Ram Charan's 'Yevadu' which holds this record with Rs 21.65 crore (share).
The only difference between the two films: 'Yevadu' had a limited screen release and its Overseas prospects have been badly hit by the presence of Mahesh Babu starrer '1 - Nenokkadine'. On the other hand, 'Race Gurram' has no competition what-so-ever and the wide release too played a part in ensuring record openings. Especially, The Overseas collections of 'Race Gurram' has given it an edge over 'Yevadu and made a big difference.
'Race Gurram' dream run at Box Office will continue for first 2 weeks as there will no opposition for it till 25th of April. Now, the film is on coarse to break the first week record of 'Yevadu' to become the Biggest 1st Week Film of the year.
As per reliable sources, Satellite Rights of 'Race Gurram' are bagged by Gemini TV for Rs 7.50 crores. Despite the new restrictions imposed by Information & Broadcasting Ministry to allow Ads for just 12 min in 1 hour, 'Race Gurram' managed to get a fancy amount.
