The worst nightmare for the film industry is back ahead of the Pongal season as a result of a massive hike in the Covid infections, followed by a few restrictions in various Indian states and the United States, a key overseas market for the Indian cinema. The unexpected development gave birth to a discussion of whether the Pan-India films will have the previously announced release or not.

A few states have imposed 50 percent occupancy in theaters as a result of the Covid impact, which made the makers have a second thought on the release date.

However, the makers of Prabhas starrer Radhe Shyam have rubbished the rumors of a change in the release date and said the film will hit the theatre on the 14th of January as announced earlier.

Ruling out the speculations that Radhe Shyam might pull itself out of the Pongal season, the makers released a poster confirming the release date. "This New Year Witness the Biggest war between Love & Destiny," the makers said in a tweet.

In the poster that was attached in the tweet, the makers have made it clear that Radhe Shyam is very much in the Pongal season and there is no change in it. This gives clarity that all the rumors that are being circulated are not true.

The Tollywood film industry got a big hope to have a theatrical release with the films like Nandamuri Balakrishna starrer Akhanda, Icon Star Allu Arjun's Pan-India venture Pushpa, and Natural Star Nani's Shyam Singha Roy attracting good numbers at the box-office.

With Akhanda giving a solid start, the two other films took forward a good start. However, the happiness did not last too long with the pandemic effect. We have to wait and see what happens with the other much-awaited Pan-India film RRR that stars Jr. NTR and Ram Charan in lead roles.

The period romantic drama is directed by Radha Krishna Kumar, who also wrote the film. Butta Bomma Pooja Hegde is pairing opposite Prabhas in the high-ticket film. UV Creations, Gopi Krishna Movies, and T-Series are jointly producing Radhe Shyam.
