RaGa lashes out at Twitter, calls his account suspension attack on democracy

Update: 2021-08-13 11:40 GMT
The social media giant Twitter has been at the receiving end with its adamant nature on maintaining its policy. As a result, the microblogging site had temporarily disabled a few accounts of prominent people.

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi aka RaGa is the new one to taste the shock from Twitter after his account was shut.

Rahul Gandhi had finally opened up on the issue and called this an attack on democracy.

Former Congress chief Rahul Gandhi lashed out at Twitter over suspension of his attack and said that Twitter is interfering in politics and defining the politics.

Saying that he doesn't like a company interfering in politics, Rahul Gandhi said by suspending his account, Twitter is denying the right to opinion of those who follow him in Twitter.

As his account was suspended, Rahul Gandhi took to YouTube to give his opinion on the same issue.

The Gandhi scion said that there is no democracy in the country. The leaders were not given a chance to speak in the Parliament. Even the media is also being controlled, he said.

I had thought that Twitter would be a platform to post my opinions. But in reality, Twitter has a biased behaviour which shows that the platform acts as per the instructions of the government, RaGa said.

Since Rahul Gandhi's Twitter account was temporarily disabled, the Congress opened guns at the Bharatiya Janata Party and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The Congress is of the opinion that Narendra Modi was behind Rahul Gandhi's account suspension and alleged that PM Modi is scared of RaGa which is why Modi is doing this.

However, Twitter said, the action was taken for not following its policy and the action was initiated by the complaint of National Commission for Protection of Child Rights.

As Rahul Gandhi is believed to have reveal the identity of the details of the parents of the victim of gang-rape, a complaint was registered against Rahul Gandhi's Tweet.

Defending it's actions, Twitter said the same action was taken against other Twitter accounts that have violated the rules by sharing the picture of the parents of the victim.
