Rajamouli, Tammareddy Bharadwaj, Natti Kumar and few other prominent Industry bigwigs met at film nagar culture club on Sunday, 20th February.
After Dil Raju, prominent producer and Nizam, UA areas leading distributor for Telugu Cinemas, decided to go for offline booking for Bheemlanayak in Telangana state, it became important that other prominent Industry bigwigs meet each other to discuss further actions on ticket pricing and online, offline sales.
Rajamouli has been involved in these meetings these days as he became the single most popular director from Telugu Cinema Industry with global appeal. His words will be keenly observed by others as well.
With several people having ego issues and internal conflicts, Industry has decided to end all of them or at least keep them aside for time being to recover from the crisis. They had to plead big stars like Mahesh, Prabhas to go along with Chiranjeevi for a meeting with AP Chief Minister YS Jagan, so that the government will feel compelled to solve the ticket pricing issue soon.
With Dil Raju's move, Rajamouli is said to be slightly shaken about RRR ticket sales offline. He doesn't want people to think that black marketing will be encouraged for the big films and ticket prices will be dubiously increased.
Hence, a solution for online ticket sales will be arrived at soon and during the meeting, the extra shows, previous day premieres for big films, extra show for a small budget film at a theatre where big budget film is being showcased have also been discussed. Within a week or two, once new prices from AP Government are annouced, the film Industry bigwigs will once again meet and discuss on the future plan of action.
Some of the seniors feel that the industry needs regularisation regarding release dates, strategies and also a good business security plan so that new producers can find it easy to release their films and secure their amounts to the extent they can. More updates regarding the meeting will come out soon. Stay tuned.
