Big shot filmmaker SS Rajamouli is currently in Japan along with his heroes Ram Charan and NTR in order to promote the release of their movie 'RRR'. This high-octane action drama was released back in March and ended up being a blockbuster. It collected more than 1100 crores and bagged a lot of international acclaim ever since it became available on Netflix.
Many Hollywood writers, directors and technicians praised Rajamouli's magnum opus and people from across the globe appreciated 'RRR'. Despite not being India's official entry into the Oscars, the team of 'RRR' decided to send this film to Oscar nominations in various categories. Rajamouli & Co are campaigning it quite intensely and are willing to spend big bucks on it.
With a lot of discussion going on about the chances of 'RRR' winning an Oscar this year, renowned music composer AR Rahman who bagged two Oscars for his work in 'Slumdog Millionaire' backed Rajamouli. Rahman heaped praises on the 'Baahubali' director as he said, "When I saw Magadheera, I knew what this man (Rajamouli) can do, and when Baahubali came out, I was like jaw dropped. It glorified Telugu cinema beautifully." He even added that Rajamouli has a big chance of getting an Oscar.
These comments from the elite composer is surely going to be a big boost for 'RRR' team. Let us wait and see what happens.
'RRR' is produced by DVV Danayya on a budget of over 400 crores. The lead actors delivered stupendous performances and MM Keeravani is the music composer who is one of the main pillars in the film's success. Apart from a few noted Hollywood actors, 'RRR' has actors like Shriya Saran, Rajeev Kanakala, Samuthirakani and others did key roles. NTR will be seen as Komaram Bheem while Ram Charan plays the role of Alluri Seetha Ramaraju in this massive film which is set in the backdrop of the pre-Independence era.
