It is known that Rajinikanth's next would be directed by KS Ravikumar who is behind blockbusters like Narasimha and Dasavatharam. For this film, the filmmaker has initially considered Bollywod beauty Sonakshi Sinha and Southern hottie Anushka as the leading ladies.
However, KS Ravikumar has no other option but to drop Sonakshi Sinha as Rajini is hesitant to romance her as she is the daughter of his good friend Shatrughan Sinha. The two even acted together in the movie 'Asli Naqli' which released in the year 1986. The Superstar made it clear he is uncomfortable romancing Sinha Girl who is like her daughter and just 27-year-old.
Now, the makers are planning to replace Sonashi with Nayantara who shared screen space with Rajini in three films (Chandramukhi, Shivaji, Kathnayakudu) already.
