Superstar Film Insured For 350 crs

Every costly thing in the world need to be insured and even films are not an exception. Fi lm insurance which was once considered as an additional burden for the film producers, is now being seen as a norm for Indian films.

Tamil director  Shankar who is known for big budget films is coming up with Robo 2.0. As per reports the film was insured for Rs 350 Cr! It is in fact a record amount for any south indian film to be insured.

Producers of the film Lyca Productions have insured the film for such a huge amount.It was director Shankar who first opted for a film insurance. Tamil film Anniyan made headlines after being insured for a whopping Rs 29 crore, the highest in South India at that time.

Shankar is leaving no stone unturned to carve this film into a coming of the age visual wonder on Indian celluloid. Shakr's Robot ('Endhiran') was made with a budget of 120+ crore, its sequel will be made with Rs. 350 crore. '2.0' will hit the screens in 2017.
