Update: 2022-03-07 07:40 GMT
Ravishing lady Rakul Preet Singh is quite busy with a string of films that are getting ready for release. With International Women's Day arriving soon, the Punjabi girl spoke to a news portal about her career and journey towards becoming the star that she is today.

As we know, Rakul was a model before entering the film industry. While trying her luck in the auditions during the initial stages, one casting director reportedly said, "you know, you're very good but the only problem I feel is, you have a generic face." Rakul responded, "I can't help it." She stated that it is during these moments that people should believe in themselves and it doesn't matter if someone doesn't like them. She added, "As long as I love myself, and I am not delusional."

Commenting on the online trolls she faces regularly, she said, "You're a public figure, not a public property. There'll be thousands of people who have an opinion on everything. You can't keep shouting about and clearing their minds and that's the sad truth, and I really hope if you want to ask me one thing that changes about social media, is how people get a life."

Rakul is currently working on projects like 'Doctor G' with Ayushmann Khurrana, 'May Day' with Ajay Devgn, 'Thank God', 'Runway 34', 'Chattriwali', 'Attack' and others. Her last film in Telugu was 'Kondapolam' and she is yet to get another offer from Tollywood filmmakers. She is currently dating Jackkie Bhagnani who is the son of senior producer Vaashu Bhagnani.

Punjabi beauty Rakul Preet Singh made her Tollywood debut with Sandeep Kishan's 'Venkatadri Express' in 2013 and she became an instant success. She turned into a most wanted heroine and worked with star heroes like NTR, Ram Charan, Allu Arjun, Ravi Teja, Naga Chaitanya, Gopichand and Mahesh Babu within a short time. She is known for her fitness and adorable looks. In 2017, she tested her luck in Bollywood with 'Aiyaary' where she romanced Siddharth Malhotra. The film failed badly but she got good offers in Bollywood. She slowly faded away in Telugu and Tamil film industries. She is not getting offers besides big heroes nowadays in the South but she completely shifted her focus onto Hindi films. After a hit like 'De De Pyaar De', her 'Marjaavan' became unsuccessful and the last two years were quite bad for Rakul.
