Jr NTR and Ram Charan are eagerly awaiting the theatrical release of RRR. The duo is actively promoting the magnum opus project which is gearing up for theatrical release on the 7th of January 2022. In their latest interview with a national media portal, Jr NTR and Ram Charan opened up about the struggles they had to go through for RRR. They spoke at length about how it is to work with SS Rajamouli.
"To be a Rajamouli's protagonist you will have to unlearn a lot as an actor and have to mould into the set of specifications that he has. It is a tiring job that demands a lot from you but at the end of the day, it is all worth it. Rajamouli is a master craftsman and working with him is a really rewarding experience. His vision and grit are impeccable. You evolve a lot not just as an actor but also as a person while working with him," Jr NTR said.
Ram Charan said he always wanted to give the very best for RRR. "For instance, while we were shooting for any particular shot in the film, Rajamouli used to clearly explain each and every nuance that he wanted. I used to emulate the same while filming. INtentionally or unintentionally, I used to add a layer of my own to the particular shot or sequence. But then, I immediately used to go to Rajamouli and check with him if he is okay with my improvisation. I need this assurance and validation. Overconfidence never quite works with me. I want my director to be fully satisfied with my output," Ram Charan said.
Rajamouli said his idea was always to make an event film after Baahubali. "The idea was to bring two huge superstars for a multistarrer which runs on a fictional note but has a strong layer of underlying emotional connect. That is how RRR happened and these two superstars - Jr NTR and Ram Charan came onboard. They gave their everything for the film."
RRR is now on course to hit the silver screens on the 7th of January 2022. The film is funded by DVV Entertainments.
