In Film Industry, the success rules the roost and any actor or technician is not beyond this. Whoever you might be? How much ever name you might have acquired over the years? Whatever could be your legacy, it is important that you be in success all the time.
Mani Ratnam who saw actors queueing up in front of his office for one film, big heroes sending him feelers and producers to set the project is now learning it the hard way. The legendary director has many films that just did not work at the box office but those that are reverred as classics. He created such magic with his flawless story telling skills that people waited for his movies while fellow makers were left in awe and jealousy after every release.
But today, that is not the case. His Ravanan/Villain/Ravan tanked at the box office and his next one, Kadali too sunk without a trace. Many thought he lost his mojo but the man came back with OK Bangaram. Before, Kadali Ram Charan got an offer from the director post Magadheera. Ram Charan accepted it first and then backed off after Kadali disaster. He then once again brought the movie to forefront after OK Bangaram but with Cheliyaa flop, the actor reportedly, said to have once again backed out from Mani Ratnam celluloid.
Well, many advised the young actor to not work in experimental movies back to back as his movie with Sukumar is sort of an experiment. And with the form Mani sir is in these days, ot would be even bigger experiment to try out a movie with him so the actor is in two minds and he decided to not go forward. Wonder what Mani sir would be thinking about his luck these days?
