RGV's Open Letter to Telugu Film Chamber

Ram Gopal Varma wrote an Open Letter to Telugu Film Chamber regarding the Drug Racket Issue. According to him, Film Chamber shouldn't feel ashamed of Drug Scandal but for apologizing unnecessarily to the State Government with it's letter.

Varma points out neither the 11 Film Personalities who faced SIT interrogation has openly confessed being drug addicts/peddlers nor Excise Officials have confirmed their role in the drug scandal so far. What is the need for issuing an apology when none of them happened?

Mentioning the line in it's letter 'Athikoddimandhi Chesina Porapatlaki Oka Parisrama Taladinchukovalsina Paristithi Ravadam Chala Badakaram?', RGV questioned how did Film Chamber got to know who are the drugs addicts among the Eleven. 'Instead of expressing its anguish on SIT Officials for projecting that a heinous crime had happened, Film Chamber apologized as if the crime was proven. What does that mean?,' he asks.

RGV suggested all those 11 Film Celebs to write open letters if they have guts saying constitution has given the right to citizens to express their views. He opined there can't be anything worse than that if these Film Personalities fear they will be made a scapegoat with false cases if they speak out the truth.

The Filmmaker demanded Film Chamber to issue an apology to the 11 Film Celebs if they attain a clean chit. 'If this doesn't happen, People might assume Celebs were spared just because Film Chamber has issued an apology? Film Chamber have the responsibility to ensure that lies never become a truth,' he said.
