Every film is made with a trust and even distributors buy the rights of the movie with that trust only. Audience too walk into a theatre with the same trust and confidence. But it is not easy to reach the expectations of everyone. Recently, a Bollywood movie released with same trust but ended a disappointment for everyone. The production of the film took three years and the promotions of the movie attracted enough buzz too. Even though many showed interest on the movie, some doubt was lingering along the way about the movie. Post release, the doubts have turned to be true and the movie became a huge disaster at the box office.

Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif starrer musical, Jagga Jasoos, due to many production delays released last week. The movie producers did promote the movie as a hit on the first day but the movie ended up being a disaster by the end of the first week. The total production cost of the movie is 110 crores and the producers sold it to distributors for 120 crores. The movie ended up collecting around 50 crores in the first week and generally, a big Bollywood movie has to earn more than 100 crores to become a hit and bring profits to distributors. Otherwise, they could lose much more than we can imagine.

Ranbir Kapoor before the release of the movie said, " My family has a history in taking care of the losses recurred by distributors and I will to continue that. We made Jagga Jasoos with great belief and I hope the film will be a box office hit, if not i will help the distributors in any which way possible." As Ranbir Kapoor is also one of the producers of the film along with Anurag Basu, the director and Disney India, we have to see if the actor will stand on his words or will he look to move away from the issue!
