The reports of Ranbir Kapoor charging an whooping Rs 38 crore as remuneration for his recent release 'Tamasha' has stunned everyone. Although no one would doubt the acting calibre of the Kapoor Lad, All of his recent films including 'Roy' (Rs 44 crore) and 'Bombay Velvet' (Rs 24 crore) were Box Office duds. Even 'Tamasha' wasn't a successful film either and all it managed is just Rs 52 crore. But, That didn't stop Ranbir from charging a hefty sum.
IT Raid on the offices of Kwan, the agency which manages Ranbir Kapoor's assignment, revealed that the 'Barfi' Star has pocketed exactly Rs 38 crore for playing the lead in 'Tamasha'.
Earlier, Ranbir Kapoor charged Rs 30 crore for 'Bombay Velvet' which managed just Rs 24 crore in its full run. That's more than his movie's Box Office revenue!
May be, This could be the reason flops didn't affect Ranbir Kapoor much. But, What about his Producers, Distributors & Exhibitors who invested crores on him? How far can RK walk in this path?
