Soggade Chinni Nayana which came out as a suspense family drama also depicts the story of father and son and Nag played both those roles. After the movie success, Nag asked Kalyan Krishna to develop an interesting backstory on the Bangarraju character(father) and promised to play the lead in it. The movie was supposed to come out as the prequel of Soggade Chinni Nayana. However, when the director developed the script and approached the senior hero, he didn't paid much attention to it.
