The majority of the routine and formulaic films are rejected by the Telugu audience in the recent past. Several mass heroes, mass masala directors are facing a tough situation as their films are turning out to be duds at the box office.  The latest news we hear from the Fim Nagar is that Mythri Movie Makers has put their Ravi Teja-Santosh Srinivas project on the backburner fearing the same thing.

Mythri Movie Makers banner signed a two-film deal with Mass Maharaj Ravi Teja.  One of them is 'Amar Akbar Anthony' in the direction of Srinu Vaitla.  The shooting of this film is going on in full swing now.  The second film of Mythri is Ravi Teja-Santosh Srinivas film and it is a remake of Tamil super hit 'Theri'(Police in Telugu).  The producers have stopped the shooting of Santosh Srinivas film recently as per the talk.  They might take a decision on the revival of the project if 'Amar Akbar Anthony' become a hit.

It is known that Ravi Teja's films are not clicking at the box office in the recent past.  The result of 'Touch Chesi Chudu'.. 'Nela Ticket' turned out to be duds raising doubts on the box office stamina of Ravi Teja.   It is interesting to see whether Ravi Teja comes back strongly with the success of 'Amar Akbar Anthony'  or not.
