Maverick director Ram Gopal Varma has joined hands with Spark OTT and announced a short film contest recently. The theme of it was COVID and he stated that the prize money was 20 lakhs. Seems like he is getting a lot of short films as he took to social media a while ago and made a crucial announcement.
He said, "Go some amazing films for short film contest.. Will publish the selected films soon.. Taking the lockdown restrictions into consideration, we decided to extend the final date of submission from May 25th to June 5th." The results will be announced on June 15th.
This a huge chance for budding filmmakers and aspirants who are willing to tell stories and showcase their talents. Spark OTT recently made its entry with 'D Company' which was directed by Ram Gopal Varma. The filmmaker announced some other projects on the same OTT platform.
