Update: 2020-11-13 12:00 GMT
Indian star Cricketer Rohit Sharma's career can be seen in two parts. The first part is before becoming the opener and the second part is after getting into the opener mode.

Since he was made to open the game in the Champions Trophy 2013 against South Africa, there was no stopping for him in the game. He went on to make more and more records.

One record he holds which seems to be difficult to be broken is his record of having three double-centuries in the 50 over formats. Rohit Sharma is also the player to have the highest individual score in the One-day International format.

Today is very special for Cricket fans and Rohit Sharma fans as exactly six years back, today he made a record by scoring 264 runs in ODI at the Eden Gardens which is still a record.

On the occasion, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) took to the microblogging site Twitter and shared a link of Rohit's heroics.

"#OnThisDay in 2014, @ImRo45 created history by smashing 264 - the highest individual score in the ODIs. A knock that included 33 fours and 9 sixes #TeamIndia Watch that splendid knock here," BCCI tweeted.

Rohit Sharma produced beauty with his knock and became a nightmare for the bowlers. His 264 runs include 33 fours and nine sixes.
