The situation Bollywood found itself in is quite strange right now. They are in a position where their own audience are encouraging South Indian cinema more. The urban concepts and a certain ideology-driven films they have been coming up with over the past couple of years have not gone well with the audience and the Southern cinema came in like a breath of fresh air.

The Hindi movie lovers are enjoying Telugu and other South Indian movies as they can connect with the characters, enjoy the dance numbers, cheer for the fights and walk out of the theatre with a sense of satisfaction.

A lot of South films are releasing in North in a large number of theatres and getting huge revenues. They are even affecting the collections of Hindi movies that were released at the same time. We all know how much loss Ranveer Singh's '83' had to endure.

While the film had its own set of flaws, competing 'Pushpa' too worked against them. Ranveer's film was publicized heavily while Bunny's rural action drama had zero promotions in the North.

Despite that, Allu Arjun managed to get more than 100 crores in the Hindi market and 'Pushpa' became a sensation as people started to copy the lead character's style and the songs got over 100 million views each.

Prior to the release of 'RRR', many said that 'RRR' had less buzz compared to 'Baahubali' and it may end up in losses in the North market. But things changed drastically after the release.

Whilst the film got 20 crores on the opening day, it garnered 107 crores in 5 days and is still going strong. Trade pundits say that it will be the second-highest collecting South Indian film in Hindi after 'Baahubali 2'. It is expected to cross 200 crores soon.

'Kashmir Files' slowed down completely after the release of 'RRR' and 'Bachchan Pandey' is not even remembered by the people. Now, Johan Abraham's 'Attack' is hitting the screens on 1st April.

It is a slick action thriller but sources say that the team is a bit worried about the impact 'RRR' is going to have on their film. 'RRR' is still posting steady collections in the mass areas and with the budget invested on 'Attack', the present situation is forcing the team into a panic mode. We need to wait and see what happens now.
