RRR pulls out of Sankranthi release

The much-awaited magnum opus RRR which was earlier postponed due to various reasons had once again been postponed amid the fears raised by the Covid pandemic and the massive jump in the fresh infections. Making the media reports true, the makers announced the news officially.

The shocking news to movie lovers came at a time when a few states are either imposing restrictions or closing the theatres. In the middle of the tough situation, RRR, which was supposed to be the major and big release in 2021 had pulled out of the Sankranthi season.

Sharing the news, the makers said, they had put in relentless efforts to have a release. But the film is being postponed as things are not in their hands resulting in the postponement of the release.

Asking the movie lovers to hold their excitement to watch RRR, the makers promised that the glory of the Indian cinema will be bright but that too at the right time.

"Inspite of our relentless efforts, some situations are beyond our control. As many Indian states are closing theatres, we are left with no choice but to ask you to hold on to your excitement. We promised to bring back The Glory of Indian Cinema, and at the right time, WE WILL," the statement reads.

The SS Rajamouli directorial sees Young Tiger NTR and Ram Charan essaying the roles of Komaram Bheem and Alluri Sitarama Raju respectively. The Pan-India film has an ensemble cast of Alia Bhatt, Ajay Devgn, Shriya, and a few Hollywood actors.
