Talented actresses Regina Cassandra and Nivetha Thomas have teamed up for the first time to feature in an action comedy film 'Saakini Daakini'. The film which is the official remake of the South Korean action-comedy film 'Midnight Runners' and it is being produced by D. Suresh Babu, Sunitha Tati and Hyunwoo Thomas Kim. Directed by Sudheer Varma, the teaser is out now and it looks highly impressive.
The teaser introduces us to the lead actresses Regina and Nivetha who will be seen as trainees in the Police Academy. Nivetha is seen as a foodie while Regina has an OCD problem. They catch up in unnecessary fights and underperform in the training camp. All this has been showcased in a funny manner but things take a serious turn too when small glimpses of the main story are shown like a criminal hitting a girl on his head etc. It's about how these girls show their skills at an appropriate time.
Nivetha steals the show with her case and Telangana dialect. She looked great and so did Regina. Both the ladies performed well in the action scenes. Richard Prasad's camera work is commendable, whereas Mikey McCleary and Naresh Kumaran duo complemented the visuals with their outstanding background score. Viplav Nyshadam's editing is sharp for the teaser. Sudheer Varma who is too good at handling thrillers has shown his mark in dealing this subject.
'Saakini Daakini' is releasing in theatres on 16th September and with an interesting and fun-filled teaser, the movie is arriving with a very good buzz.
Sudheer Varma need a hit right now as his last few films tanked at the box office. Nivetha was last seen playing an important role in Pawan Kalyan's 'Vakeel Saab' while Regina's last film in Telugu was 'Acharya' in which she did an item song.
