Mega hero Sai Dharam Tej has been failing at the box office over the past few years. Supreme was his last big hit and since then he scored six consecutive flops. Though his last film Chitralahari performed decently, it didn't give the much needed big hit to Sai Dharam Tej.
The main reason for his failures is working with struggling and new directors. He made films with BVS Ravi, VV Vinayak, Karunakaran, and Gopichand Malineni when they are in poor form. Even now, he is working with Maruthi, who is not in successful form, for his next film Prathi Roju Pandaage.
Meanwhile, the latest reports are suggesting that Tej has signed his next film with a debutant named Subbu and the project will be produced by BVSN Prasad.
