Bollywood superstar Salman Khan whose previous outing 'Race 3' and 'Tubelight' failed to impress the audience has recently came up with 'Bharat' movie directed by Ali Abbas Zafar.
The movie came out as the official Hindi remake of South Korean superhit film 'Ode To My Father'. Amid high expectations, the film has finally hit the screens yesterday on the occasion of Eid and as expected the movie gained massive collections on the first day. As per the latest reports, 'Bharat' movie emerged as all time top grosser in Salman Khan's career and also the third all time highest grossing Bollywood films. On the first day, the movie made 42.10 crores and has surpassed Salman's previous best opener 'Prem Ratan Dhan Payo' (40.35 crore). 'Bharat' is next only to the highest Bollywood opener Aamir Khan-Amitabh Bachchanâs 'Thugs of Hindostan' (Rs 52.25 Cr) and Shah Rukh Khanâs Happy New Year (Rs 44.97 Cr).
On the other hand, 'Bharat' has been receiving mixed response from the audience. Katrina Kaif and Disha Patani played the female leads whereas Sunil Grover and Varun Dhawan played key roles in the film.
