Bollywood star hero Salman Khan got honored with the Global Diversity Award â 2017 in British Parliament. This Dabangg actor was honored for his contribution to the Indian Film Industry as an actor, producer, singer and TV host.
Parliament MP Keith Vaz presented this award and stated that Salman Khan is a role model for everyone. " Salman has millions of fans worldwide. Keeping the movies aside, he is a good human being. He has been supporting the poor people with his NGO âBeing Human." I am honored to present this award to Salman. Youngsters from Asia should take Salman as an inspirationâ said Keith Vaz.
Speaking at the event, Salman said "Thank you for the respect and honor you have given me. My father would have never thought.. But the amount of respect you guys have given me, thank you so much for it."
In the past, Amitabh Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai, Shah Rukh Khan, Chinese action icon Jackie Chan, Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, British Racing Driver Lewis Hamilton, etc. received this award.
