Salman paid off loss; What about our heroes?

Update: 2017-08-10 10:50 GMT
Salman Khan is known to be the red hot actor of Indian Cinema these days. He scored blockbuster after blockbuster for more than nine years until his movie, Tubelight releasing for EID, became a huge disaster. People did not turn up to watch his movie even though it has been directed by a director like Kabir Khan who made Bajrangi Bhaijaan with him.

The distributors normally, for a star hero movie don't lose huge money as they pay to the producers only the amount that they can think is recoverable. But the distributors looking at the craze Salman has developed and his track record paid more money for rights than they normally do and the movie ended up being a biggest disaster which even the actor did not expect to be the result. He thought the movie will be one of his best and even challenged critics to write and rate his movie badly, still the movie will be a hit he said. But his expectations have gone wrong and when distributors asked his father Salim Khan about the compensation and the losses they incurred, he ordered his son to bare some brunt.

Salman did what his father told him to do and paid 32.5 crores to the distributors. The actor's office released a statement stating this and said that the delay in payment is due to Salman's busy schedule of his next film, Tiger Zinda Hein in overseas and once he returned they have decided to pay the said amount. Now, even in Telugu the distributors started bidding high on star movies and they have complained about losses more than once. Can our stars take a leaf out of Salman Khan's book and pay off some of the distributors who showed immense confidence on them? Let's hope they do.
