Audiences say Tube'lite'!

Update: 2017-06-28 09:17 GMT

Salman Khan has made EID his own holiday, so much that in some of his films, the actor had the punch lines like, "Eid hein apna Eidi lene jaroor aayega" (Bhai will definitely come to collect his prize for this EID). Such has been his hold on box office since Dabangg, the 2010 EID release. Salman's new film, Tubelight with Kabir Khan who delivered Ek Tha Tiger and Bajrangi Bhaijaan kind of films on Eid, flopped at the domestic and Overseas markets too.

Fans and Trade experts are stunned to see such a low response for the movie as it has become a norm for any Salman starrer to cross 100 crores during the weekend. But this movie has just collected 85 crores for five days, even with Eid holiday. The movie failed to even collect as much as his 'Bodyguard' that released six years ago for Eid.

Well, the movie got panned by critics for being too silly and forced. Also, Salman's performance was compared with the worst ever performances of the actor as well. But the actor arrogantly remarked that even if critics give his films negative ratings and 1 or .5 rating, his films will do well at the Box Office.

Even fans of the actor expected the movie to cross at least 100 crores in the first weekend but the movie is struggling to even cross 100 within the first week and the lifetime could end up at 130 to 140 crores. The movie has already been called a disaster and the distributors could lose more than 60 crores has they have bought the movie for 138 crores while the movie share will end up somewhere between 65 to 70 crores.
