Nagarjuna Akkineni took a decision to go Independent off Annapurna Studios to establish Great India Films in late 90's and he produced few films on it. As Akkineni Venkat decided to go for a different business and young Supriya took over executive production at Annapurna, Nagarjuna decided to be the head of the Studios.
He again started an Independent production house with Manam Enterprises to let Naga Chaitanya or Akhil have an alternative to Annapurna Studios which has all Akkineni Nageswara Rao family members as stake holders.
It seems like Naga Chaitanya and Samantha now decided to go Nagarjuna's way and start their own production house. This is said to be a collective dream of the couple than one imposing it on the other.
This production house will have Chaitanya and Samantha green liting stories they like to production and they may act in few as well.
