It is a known news that veteran filmmaker Singeetam Srinivasa Rao is planning to make a bilingual biopic on cultural activist and courtesan, Bangalore Nagarathnamma. The ace director will be sitting on the director chair after a break of over seven years. His last directorial venture was 2013 Telugu film, Welcome Obama.
According to reports, the director had contacted the actress a couple of times as he picked her as the prime choice for the biopic. Now the reports suggest that the star actress has given thumbs up to essay the role of singer Bangalore Nagarathnamma. The film is likely to kick-off next year and it will be released in Telugu and Tamil.
Apart from this, Samantha will be doing a film with Sony Pictures India which is said a Pan India project. The talk is that this film's regular shooting will commence from November before Singeetam Srinivasa Rao's project.
