Samantha entered Industry in the year 2010 with 'Ye Maya Chesave'. She has done many Straight/Bilingual Films in both Telugu & Tamil Film Industries but never attempted a Remake so far.
In her recent interview ahead of 'Brahmotsavam' release, Samantha expressed her desire to be part of Telugu/Tamil remake of Kannada flick 'U-Turn'. This Thriller was directed by 'Lucia' fame Pawan Kumar and its Trailer received huge critical acclaim. If Samantha signs the project, This could be her first ever Remake in a glorious film career.
Earlier, Samantha was approached for the remake of Kangana Ranaut starrer 'Queen'. She, however, choose not to sign the project believing it mayn't work down South. Even some other remake subjects have been turned down by her in the past.
