Everybody knows about 'Sangamithra' movie controversy. The movie was launched in the 70th Cannes Film Festival recently.. but Shruthi Haasan's exit from the project became a sensation. Even before Shruti revealed about her exit from the expensive film, producers confirmed that they are unable to continue with Shruthi for 'Sangamithra'.
As Shruthi Haasan gave detailed clarification on why she has exited from the project, the issue was closed. But the suspense started on who is going to play the titular role in 'Sangamithra'. There is a talk going on in Kollywood that the filmmakers are approaching Anushka.. Tamannah and Bollyood beauty Deepika Padukone. Filmmakers are said to be giving more preference to Deepika considering the high budget of the film even though Anushka.. Tamannah also achived nation wide recognition with 'Baahubali'. But it is doubtful whether Bollywood beauty will come on board for 'Sangamithra' or not.
If she signs the film, she has to devote two years of time for 'Sangamithra'. She may not spend that much time for a single film even though it is made into two parts. Deepika didn't give more than 9 months time for a director like Sanjay Leela Bhansali, then it is doubtful that she spends two years for 'Sangamithra'. Moreover Shruti levelled allegations on the Sangamithra makers that there is no shooting schedule and bound script.. Considering all these things, some are commenting that Deepika coming on board for Sangamithra is tough.
