Update: 2021-07-28 08:39 GMT
No thanks to Coronavirus, the film industry has been forced to change the release dates frequently which is denting a lot of their plans. Over the past year, we have witnessed a lot of films getting postponed and the finances going upside down. Just like the summer of 2020, this year's summer too went in vain with the theatres completely shut down. The filmmakers devised a lot of plans at the beginning of this year but the second wave shattered everything.

After the shootings got restarted, they are once again announcing release dates which is making the fans pretty excited. The Sankranti season of 2022 looks very bright for movie lovers. The first film to enter the Pongal race was superstar Mahesh Babu's 'Sarkaru Vaari Paata'. The release date of this movie was announced long back and despite the postponement in shooting, the makers made it clear that it would come out during the Pongal season.

Earlier, Pawan Kalyan's period drama 'Hari Hara Veera Mallu' with Krish was supposed to release in theatres at the time of Sankranti but it got postponed. Interestingly, Pawan's other film 'Ayyappanum Koshiyum' remake came into the picture. The making glimpse came out recently and they made it clear that the film is coming out during the Sankranti 2022 season. The Mahesh-Pawan battle is making everyone go crazy.

On the other hand, we have 'F3' starring Venkatesh and Varun Tej in the lead coming at the same time. Directed by Anil Ravipudi, 'F2' which came out in 2019 Sankranti season was a super hit and the team has relied on their lucky release date for the sequel too. Apart from these three, we also have Tamil star hero Vijay's upcoming film 'Beast' releasing in the same festive season next year. Nelson Dilipkumar is the director while Pooja Hegde is the heroine in this action entertainer and with Vijay's growing market in Telugu, he is going to give a competition too.

With four biggies lining up for the Sankranti 2022, fans can't wait for the festival season. While the movie lovers are licking their lips with enthusiasm, we need to keep in mind that things can change pretty quickly with coronavirus still in the picture.
