'Sarapatta Parambarai' Trailer Talk: A Local Boxing Rivalry With Loads Of Layers!

Director Pa. Ranjith who earned a lot of fame by directing Rajnikanth for 'Kaala' and 'Kabali' is all set to thrill the audience with another social drama titled 'Sarpatta Parambarai' but with a boxing backdrop. The posters got a positive response and this film is getting released on 22nd July on Amazon Prime India.

The trailer has been released by Suriya and he conveyed his best wishes by tweeting, “Hats off @beemji @arya_offl and the entire cast and crew for creating this epic film #SarpattaParambaraiOnPrime The hard work put in by the team is evident onscreen!! @PrimeVideoIN @officialneelam @K9Studioz @joinmaajja @Music_Santhosh.”

Set in the backdrop of North Madurai in 1970, the film explores the boxing culture and its influence on the lives of people. Arya will be seen as the boxer Kabilan who goes through a lot for winning it for his society. Apart from the boxing part, the film has many layers like the rivalry between the gangs, class divide among people, oppression and many others. Arya looked terrific in the role and his hard work is very much visible on screen. Debut girl Dushara will be seen as his wife and looks convincing. Kalaiarasan and John Kokken play crucial roles in this flick along with another well-known artist Pasupati. There are lot of other top Tamil actors in this film.

Murali G cranked the camera while Selva RK edited this film. Stunts were choreographed by Anbariv while it is Santosh Shivan who scored the music. All the technicians gave their best and it is visible in the trailer. Especially, Santosh Narayan's music is just amazing and lifts the trailer to another level. Pa. Ranjith is known for dealing such serious subjects and let us see how this film is going to be on 22nd July.

Hero Arya has been waiting for a hit from a long time and fans are eager to see if this becomes successful or not. Though it was readied for a theatrical release, the lockdown forced the makers to opt for an OTT release. Apparently, Amazon offered a good deal that the makers couldn't refuse. It will be released in Tamil.
