Sankranti War: Are 'Rangasthalam' Records Going To Break?

Update: 2020-01-18 06:53 GMT
'Sarileru Neekevvaru' and 'Ala Vaikunthapuramlo' which released during the Sankranti season are setting the box-office on fire. Both the films got tremendous openings and they are competing with each other by announcing themselves as winners in Sankranti race. Keeping the records aside, some say that releasing two films in a gap of one day caused a certain amount of damage. Though the production houses are announcing the collections officially, people are not able to believe these numbers as there is some clarity missing in it. There are reports that 'Ala Vaikunthapuramlo' is ahead in this race but that is up for discussion.

On the other hand, 'Sarileru Neekevvaru' completed one week run at the box-office while Bunny's film is one day behind it. Now questions are popping up about whether these films end up breaking 'Rangasthalam' records or not. Analysts say that if they continue the same run for another two days, they may cross it and even surpass non-Baahubali records. But these films are past their first week and it will be tough to continue the same run at the box-office.

As both these films released at the same time, theatres got divided. Now, the collections are expected to drop slowly as the ticket rates are going to come down and footfalls will be less in theatres. On top of it, Mahesh's film got an average talk which makes things even harder for it. 'Ala Vaikunthapuramlo' got positive talk all over which is its advantage but it is also completing its first-week run. So, we need to wait for another two days to know how it goes. As the schools are already getting reopened and people getting back to work, we need to see what happenings now.
