Senior Actor Died With Lung Failure

Senior Bollywood actor Sadashiv Amrapurkar(64) who was being treated for a lung infection at Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital in Mumbai, has died today. He was admitted to the Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital (KDAH) in Mumbai two weeks ago. Since then he was on life support.

Amrapurkar won two Filmfare award in his careers. In 1984 Amrapurkar won the award for the best supporting actor for "Ardh Satya". Adding to this in 1991, the best villain trophy for his portrayal of a ruthless eunuch in "Sadak" movie. After his career in Bollywood he shifted his focus to Marathi movies. He appeared last in a movie Bombay Talkies in 2012. Amrapurkar last rites will be performed in his native place in Ahmednagar district tomorrow, family sources said.
