Bollywood star Shahid Kapoor is currently enjoying the best phase of his career. After scoring a couple of critically acclaimed hits, he got his first 250 crore film with 'Kabir Singh'. As we know, it is a remake of Telugu's super hit flick 'Arjun Reddy'. Soon after that, Shahid accepted another remake of a Tollywood film titled 'Jersey'. As it is aware, 'Jersey' is an emotional rollercoaster featuring Nani in the main lead.
It got a National Award and Nani delivered a phenomenal performance which is sure to move every film lover. Shahid took up the responsibility of remaking it in Hindi and Gautham Thinnanuri who made the original is handling the remake too.
Speaking about 'Jersey', Shahid said that it is really close his heart and praised Nani's performance unlimitedly. He said that Nani made him cry 5-6 times while viewing it for the first time. Shahid added, âI am 40 and I could relate myself to the film Jersey, which tells about late success. I am one of those who tasted success very late. Jersey is a family film and it is very close to my heart.â
Apart from Shahid, Pankaj Kapur and Mrunal Thakur are also doing important roles in 'Jersey' Hindi remake and it is to be seen if Shahid repeats the same magic that Nani created onscreen or not.
